The ZIMSOC Website was designed and implemented with these people in mind:

    1. Potential applicants
    2. Current Students
    3. Graduated Students / Alumni

    Potential Students:

It is meant to be a platform to give a glimpse to what Life at UCT is life, how to apply, what scholarship opportunities are available, and to more generally, give access to information from the people “on the ground.”

    Current Students

It is meant to assist current students navigate the UCT waters fearlessly, acclimatize to university life, and smoothly transition to living independently and flourishing academically. It offers a platform for students to voice out their opinions and share their experiences, desires and aspirations.

    Graduates / Alumni

Serves as a platform to reflect on their time here, share learnt experiences and pitfalls so that current students can benefit and not fall into the same traps. It offers a platform for them to network with young talent, potentially recruit, or assist in launching each others’ careers. Alumni get to share their career experiences and guide students in the school-work transition.

Below is the plan and execution that was done in order to realize this website:

Special thanks to everyone who made this site possible, the 2019 Committee for the support, and a special thank you to Chris Kateera and Lewis Mujana for being proactive and taking the action steps to bring the idea to life.
